What you’ll do Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies, including category management and strategic sourcing initiatives, to meet organizational objectives. Lead end-to-end procurement contract negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms, cost savings, and risk mitigation. Manage procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and E-procurement platforms to streamline purchasing activities. Oversee vendor contract management and supplier performance evaluations to maintain high-quality supply chain operations. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and project management teams to align procurement activities with production planning and operational needs. Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or procurement issues to implement effective corrective actions. Ensure compliance with procurement regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other industry standards related to public sector purchasing. Skills Extensive experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other e-procurement platforms. Strong contract negotiation skills with a proven track record in procurement contract management. Deep understanding of procurement management principles including strategic sourcing, category management, and supply chain management. Knowledge of procurement regulatory frameworks like FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and public sector purchasing standards. Expertise in vendor contract management, supplier relationship management, and logistics coordination. Proficiency in materials management, production planning, pricing strategies, and quality assurance processes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving within complex supply chain environments. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials sourcing for diverse industries. Effective negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build long-term supplier partnerships. Experience working with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and ERP integration for seamless procurement workflows. Knowledge of procurement regulatory compliance requirements across various sectors.
