What Your Job Will Be Like We are currently seeking individuals to join our Supply Chain team in various Purchasing Support roles within Center 10200s Procurement organizations. The Purchasing Support positions are critical to the acquisition of goods and services that enable Sandia's mission. These roles support multiple functions across Procurement, including acquisition planning, subcontract placement and management, invoice review, contract closeout, and quality assurance. The selected candidates will collaborate closely with Sandia's scientific and engineering teams and other internal stakeholders to provide procurement expertise, ensure compliance, and minimize risk. Key Responsibilities (Across All Roles) Represent and commit Sandia through contract actions within assigned authority Negotiate price, delivery, performance, and contract terms and conditions Follow up on orders, verify delivery and payment, and maintain accurate records Oversee contract administration from placement through final closeout Coordinate procurement activities for assigned commodities, customer sets, or programs Close contracts, reduce commitments, and follow up on invoicing and receipt of goods/services Conduct research and recommend solutions to administrative and subcontract-related issues Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency Interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels, building strong working relationships Maintain knowledge of Sandia and NNSA policies, directives, and procurement procedures Support other supply chain activities as requested Role-Specific Functions 1. Purchasing Support - Buyer Focus Manage acquisition planning and subcontract placements Negotiate and administer contracts ensuring compliance and risk mitigation Collaborate with scientific and engineering teams to meet procurement needs 2. Expert Invoice Reviewer / Contract Closeout Support Review invoices for subcontracts with auditable pricing types Resolve questioned costs and support subcontract closeout activities Conduct compliance assessments and audits, report findings and follow up on corrective actions Provide training on subcontract terms and discrepancies Applicants on this requisition may be interviewed by multiple organizations at Sandia National Laboratories. The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required. Salary Range $48,500 - $89,000 Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
