Job Title: Sr. Planner Job ID: 683 Location: Orange, CA Department: Supply Chain Reports To: Supply Chain Manager Job Type: Full Time Compensation : $90,000 - 110,000 per year Summary: As our Senior Planner, you will be the vital link between customer demand, plant floor operations, and procurement. You will oversee end-to-end production scheduling and material flow in our manufacturing facility, creating and optimizing master production schedules that maximize plant throughput and ensure 100% on-time delivery. You will address complex capacity bottlenecks, resolve material shortages, and drive continuous improvement within our ERP/MRP systems and planning workflows. Leadership & Core Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Capacity Management Develop and execute detailed finite daily and weekly production schedules for multiple production lines and work centers. Conduct capacity planning and analysis to balance labor, machinery, and material availability against forecasts and customer orders. Optimize inventory parameters (Safety Stock, ROP, EOQ) and monitor WIP levels to prevent bottlenecks and control lead times. Track and report on operational KPIs, including Schedule Attainment, OTIF, Inventory Turnover, and Downtime due to material shortages. Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement Partner with Production Supervisors and Operations Managers to review schedule adherence, address line stoppages, and re-sequence orders dynamically. Collaborate with Procurement to ensure raw materials and components arrive to align with production starts. Act as an ERP/MRP super-user, maintaining master data integrity (BOMs, routings, lead times). Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives and ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and relevant regulatory requirements. Position Requirements Education & Technical Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related technical field preferred, or equivalent experience Experience: 6–8+ years in production scheduling, master planning, or material control in high-mix/volume environments. Industry Domain: High-mix, regulated environments (AS9100/ISO9001 highly desired). Certifications & Competencies Certifications : APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP) strongly preferred. Systems Proficiency: Advanced ERP/MRP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Syspro) and advanced MS Excel or BI tools (Power Query, Power BI). Core Competencies: Lean, Kanban, JIT, Theory of Constraints, data-backed decision-making, and strong interpersonal skills.
