Senior Operations Coordinator (Ocean Freight)
Outsourced logistics for containerized cargoCSA Global Logistics is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Operations Coordinator to join our global logistics team in Miami. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong freight forwarding expertise who thrives in a fast-paced international environment. You will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing multimodal commodity shipments while ensuring exceptional service for clients and logistics partners worldwide. What You'll Be Doing · Plan and execute multimodal shipments, with a strong focus on ocean freight operations · Monitor shipments from origin to destination, proactively resolving delays and operational issues · Coordinate with carriers, port operators, customs brokers, and other logistics partners · Manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations · Maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics service providers · Support carrier negotiations and evaluate service performance to optimize cost and service levels · Provide clients with regular shipment updates and resolve operational inquiries promptly · Collaborate closely with Sales, Trading, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution · Utilize Cargoo TMS and Microsoft Dynamics ERP for shipment management and documentation · Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency · Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, and industry best practices Who We're Looking For Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field · Alternatively, 4-5 years of relevant logistics and freight forwarding experience · Strong experience in ocean freight forwarding and multimodal transportation · Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and Incoterms · Experience working with Transport Management Systems (TMS), preferably Cargoo · Experience using ERP platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics · Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills · Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment · Professional logistics or freight forwarding certifications are an advantage What Success Looks Like Success in this role will be measured through: · Consistently high on-time delivery performance · Effective management of shipment costs and carrier performance · Accurate and compliant shipment documentation · High levels of customer satisfaction and stakeholder engagement · Reduction of operational disruptions and service incidents · Data accuracy within TMS and ERP systems · Contributions to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives Why You Should Join Us · Opportunity to work in a global commodity logistics and supply chain environment · Exposure to international shipping markets and multimodal transportation operations · Collaborative and entrepreneurial company culture · Direct impact on operational performance and customer success · Opportunities to drive process improvements and operational excellence · Professional growth within a rapidly expanding logistics organization · A challenging and rewarding role with significant responsibility and autonomy CSA Global Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
