The role of the Senior Manager, Sales Strategy and Operations will:

  • Provide support to the sales organization and sales leadership by managing commercial function interdependencies, key sales processes, FSO communication and liaison responsibilities.
  • A few, but not all, of the responsibilities include annual sales planning, business planning, sales meeting cycle management, annual sales compensation liaison, lead contact for Marketing / Global Education / and other critical partners, central point of consolidation of Sales Leadership concerns.
  • This position reports to and provide strategic support to the VP of Sales
  • Have an ability to manage and persuade large teams, and compellingly convey the corporate message, and manage success through adversity.
  • Provide strategic and executional support to the sales leadership focusing on sales force effectiveness.
  • Leadership and collaboration with Global Education Solutions and Marketing to manage annual sales meeting cycle. (National Training/Sales Meetings, Leadership Meetings, etc.).
  • Be the lead liaison from Sales organization to internal functional partners, and act as central consolidator of day-to-day feedback from Area and Regional Sales leaders.
  • Pro-actively find opportunities for commercial performance improvements and collaborate effectively with other functions, finance, marketing, IT, etc. to address.
  • Provide leadership and support to the business planning process and ongoing performance metrics and reporting against business plan.
  • Act as a change agent for critical sales initiatives and represent key Sales Strategy and Operations CoE initiatives for the field sales organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters in related field or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a Health Care industry (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Diagnostics AND/OR Consumer) preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years proven experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, or other related Commercial function experience required.
  • People management experience or demonstrated experience managing large teams is required, with a strong preference for Ethicon US field leadership experience.
  • Ability to negotiate, manage others through influence (comfortable with non-line authority).
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required.
  • Can effectively communicate sense of direction, setting expectations of performance, and getting results.
  • Results Driven: Sets, communicates, and holds self and team accountable to clear and measurable goals.
  • Business Insight: Understands organizational dynamics, business concepts and issues.
  • Strong project management experience in managing expectations of internal and external partners, including gathering actionable requirements, and supporting business requests.
  • Travel 25% domestic will be required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
