About The Role Nscale is hiring a Senior Manager, SaaS Procurement to own a portfolio of $30M+ in spend across 150+ vendors. You'll negotiate new and renewing contracts, consolidate redundant tooling, and bring discipline to how the company buys and manages software as it scales toward IPO. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Engineering, you'll build and lead a two-person team: you and a Procurement Operations & ITAM Analyst, covering contract negotiation, license reconciliation, and invoice accuracy. You'll partner with Legal on contract reviews, owning business terms while Legal reviews legal risk. This is a hands-on negotiation role, not a process-administration role. You'll negotiate with VP-level SaaS account teams, using market benchmarks, pricing data, and license usage to build your leverage and reduce redundant spend across the portfolio. Location: New York, San Francisco, or Seattle Reports to: Head of Corporate Engineering What You'll Be Doing Contract Negotiation and Vendor Benchmarking Own negotiations for all new and renewing enterprise SaaS contracts, including pricing, term length, auto-renewal and uplift clauses, termination rights, and volume and bundling leverage. Develop vendor benchmarking capability using market-rate data and peer pricing, so negotiations start from evidence rather than vendor-supplied "discounts." Partner with Legal on master service agreements, data processing agreements, and service-level agreements, owning the business terms while Legal reviews legal risk. Portfolio Discipline and Spend Controls Build and maintain a forward renewal calendar so contracts don't renew on autopilot or by surprise. Identify overlapping tools and redundant spend, and lead the business case for consolidating the portfolio. Own the SaaS category's workflow within the company's procure-to-pay platform, including approval routing and spend controls. Team Leadership and Reporting Lead and develop the Procurement Operations & ITAM Analyst, who owns contract administration, purchase order creation, invoice receipting, billing dispute resolution, and license and usage tracking. Ensure the operational data is reliable enough to support negotiations. Report savings, spend trends, and renewal risk to the Head of Corporate Engineering each month. Comfort working with ambiguity and incomplete data in a fast-scaling company where processes are still developing. Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report.
