Senior Manager of Quality
Human Active TechnologyWe are seeking a Senior Manager of Quality to lead and strengthen quality across our manufacturing operations, supplier network and customer relationships. This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands-on quality professional who brings strong technical expertise, sound business judgment and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. The Senior Manager of Quality will own the development and execution of quality systems, processes and standards that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This leader will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales and suppliers to identify root causes, eliminate defects, improve processes and ensure our products consistently meet or exceed customer and engineering requirements. The ideal candidate is a leader who is analytical, decisive and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to influence quality strategy, build accountability across the organization, strengthen supplier performance and develop a high-performing quality function. What You’ll Do Based in our Easton, PA office, the Senior Manager of Quality will play a key leadership role in driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement across HAT’s manufacturing operations and supply chain. Lead the Quality function, including team development, performance management, quality metrics and departmental priorities, while establishing the systems and accountability necessary to support scalable manufacturing growth. Your key responsibilities will include: Responsible for design and development of quality assurance and control systems. Advising internal and external organizations on process development, documentation and/or auditing of processes for continuous improvement. Responsible for identifying, analyzing and developing improvements in productivity, quality, client relationships and customer service. Serve as the primary customer point of contact for traditional Quality questions and concerns. Establish and maintain centralized Quality documentation and processes. Ensure suppliers are meeting or exceeding established standards and engineering specifications. Develop and maintain an in-process inspection program for use by production staff to prevent defects from being passed to downstream operations. Serve as the primary contact for customer complaints and customer compliance audits. Interface with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve deviations, corrective actions, non-conformances and other quality issues. Partner with Purchasing and Engineering on supplier audits and ongoing supplier evaluations. Facilitate and coordinate quality improvements, problem-solving initiatives and root-cause corrective actions. Develop and mentor quality team members, building greater technical capability, autonomy, accountability and leadership within the function. Establish and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, drive accountability and support data-based decision-making. Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations leadership to embed quality into processes rather than relying solely on inspection to identify defects. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline. 7+ years of progressive Quality experience within a manufacturing or assembly environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibility. Strong working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality standards, documentation and audit processes. Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), non-conformance management and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of supplier quality systems, supplier audits and performance management. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Proven abili…
