Job Overview: 

Responsible for leading financial strategy, planning and business performance for the Integrated Supply Chain, with direct Finance ownership across Procurement and Logistics and business partnership across Supply Planning and Inventory. This role partners closely with Supply Chain leadership to drive productivity, cost optimization, working capital and end-to-end supply chain performance while providing financial insight and governance to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic & Financial Leadership

  • Serve as the senior finance business partner to Integrated Supply Chain leadership, providing financial leadership across Procurement and Logistics and partnering with Supply Planning and Operations on end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Translate supply chain priorities into financial strategies, business cases and scenario-based trade-off decisions.
  • Provide financial oversight and insight across sourcing, commodities, freight, warehousing/distribution, inventory and supply chain productivity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to supply chain and finance leadership on cost structure, working capital, investment decisions, risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the Integrated Supply Chain organization through annual planning, forecasting and latest estimate processes.

Productivity, Cost & Performance Management

  • Lead financial governance and reporting for end-to-end supply chain productivity, including Procurement savings, logistics productivity and other value-creation initiatives.
  • Ensure transparency of project-level impacts to the P&L and appropriate validation of baselines, timing and benefit realization.
  • Lead analysis of key supply chain performance drivers including PPV, commodity inflation/deflation, freight and warehousing costs, inventory and DPO.
  • Partner with Supply Chain teams to identify opportunities to improve total delivered cost, working capital and profitability.
  • Support TCO analysis, sourcing evaluations, logistics and network optimization and other strategic business cases.
  • Champion a strong performance-management and accountability culture across Integrated Supply Chain.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and long-range planning for Procurement and Logistics.
  • Develop an integrated financial view of supply chain performance and ensure alignment of assumptions across Procurement, Logistics, Supply Planning, Operations and Commercial Finance.
  • Provide clear visibility into cost, productivity, inventory, working capital and service-related financial impacts.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and drive corrective actions with business partners.
  • Lead Procurement and Logistics month-end financial activities and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial results.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX and audit requirements.

Commodity, Working Capital & Decision Support

  • Partner with Procurement and Commodity Price Risk Management teams to monitor commodity markets, exposure, coverage, hedging positions and financial impacts.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations related to commodity exposure, inflation/deflation and associated P&L risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Procurement to provide financial insight into inventory, working capital, payment terms and DPO performance.
  • Support strategic supply chain decisions through scenario modelling, business cases and total-cost analysis.
  • Ensure key supply chain risks and opportunities are appropriately reflected in forecasts and financial plans.

Digital Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting and controls across Integrated Supply Chain Finance.
  • Develop analytics, automation and reporting capabilities to improve forecasting, decision support and performance visibility.
  • Support implementation and adoption of S/4HANA and other Finance and Supply Chain systems and tools.
  • Simplify reporting and remove process bottlenecks to increase Finance effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Performance Management: Ensure proper onboarding and development of all staff by completing induction process, coaching and developing capabilities, executing PDP start/mid-year dialogues, and engaging in corrective action when required
  • Talent & Succession: Ensure job vacancies are filled by completing the required processes and representing the company with integrity throughout the recruitment process 
  • Training: Ensure completion of function compliance training
  • Engagement: Ensure an engaged workforce through development of sound working relationships and execution of Employee Survey action plans

The Recipe for Success: 

  • Completion of university degree in Accounting, Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting, financial analysis and business-partnering experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance leadership or people-management role.
  • Experience supporting Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics and/or Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain finance, financial planning, standard costing, inventory and working-capital management.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement and Logistics financial drivers, including PPV, commodities, productivity, freight and warehousing costs.
  • Strong financial analytical, business-case, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, analytics and automation; S/4HANA experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, drive change and improve processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
