WHO WE ARE The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our members provide safe, reliable electricity for nearly 250 million Americans, and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Collectively, the electric power industry supports nearly 7 million jobs in communities across the United States and drives economic growth and prosperity. EEI also includes hundreds of industry suppliers and related organizations as Associate Members. Other responsibilities of the Senior Manager/Director, Supply Chain Resilience: Monitor and analyze emerging developments, disruptions, and trends impacting electric power supply chains, including generation, transmission, distribution, grid technologies, equipment manufacturing, and vendor ecosystems. Focus areas include long lead times and capacity constraints for large power transformers, distribution transformers, gas turbines, switchgear, and generator step-up units; availability of grain-oriented electrical steel, copper, and other critical inputs; and the concentration of manufacturing for inverters, battery energy storage systems, and control systems in a few countries. Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain policy, leading member-driven workstreams, and supporting EEI’s Operational Continuity Executive Advisory Committee, Business Continuity Working Group, and Chief Procurement Officers group. Represent EEI members in engagements with DOE, DHS, Commerce, FERC, NERC, the E-ISAC, the Federal Communications Commission, the Department of Defense, and other organizations to advance sector supply chain priorities.
