Department: Warehousing & LogisticsReports to: Manager, Delivery & TransportationLocation: New Westminster, BCYour Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Senior Logistics Specialist, you are a key member within the Delivery & Transportation function, supporting day-to-day logistics operations and performance across inbound and outbound supply chain flows.Acting as a subject matter expert, driving operational excellence, process consistency, and continuous improvement across transportation, vendor management, and reporting.You play a critical role in translating business needs into logistics solutions, influencing decisions through data, and ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective delivery across all channels.This role is primarily based out of our New Westminster, BC office and is open to hybrid work. We operate behind the scenes, and the work we do creates the foundation for the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.If you were the Senior Logistics Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Supporting the Manager, Delivery & Transportation in guiding a high performing logistics team and supporting the day-to-day leadership of the team.Assisting with day-to-day team operations, including workload management, prioritization, and performance oversightEstablishing best practices and standard ways of working across the logistics teamActing as a point of contact for internal team members regarding specific distribution center queries and updatesOverseeing shipment visibility and exception management, ensuring risks are identified and resolved proactivelyProviding routing instructions for finished goods, raw materials and related materialsHelping to mentor and train new members of the teamReviewing, auditing, coding, and approving freight invoices (air, ocean, and courier) to quotes or price agreementsAnalyzing and formulating logistics solutions for new trade lanes and expedited shipmentsCreating and maintaining transit timetables to ensure purchase orders are planned with correct shipping lead timesSupporting logistics performance reporting, including KPI development, accuracy, and insights to inform decision-makingSupporting the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of Logistics SOPsDriving cross-functional logistics alignment, ensuring clarity on timelines, risks, and prioritiesSupporting resolution of complex logistics escalations, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to drive timely outcomesImproving logistics processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency and improve service to internal and external customersIdentifying issues/gaps in vendor performance and escalating to leadership for resolution if necessaryMonitoring and tracking detention and release issues related to custom delaysProviding support for Distribution, Transportation and Supply Chain projects as requiredUpholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chainHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:Supporting on multiple project implementations on inbound end-to-end delivery from T1 vendors to destinationTracking and monitoring outbound orders for all channels including retail, wholesale and ecommerceExtracting reports and provide data analytics reflecting system, functional and operational gaps within a Supply Chain or Logistics processCollaborating with cross functional departments during cadence meetings for status updates and execute weekly summary and action itemsProviding freight rates and f…
