Senior Forklift Operator / Labourer

Outdoor Steel Manufacturing Yard We are seeking an experienced Senior Forklift Operator to join our team in an outdoor, Steel Manufacturing yard. The successful candidate will have extensive experience operating all-terrain forklifts and handling large, heavy structural steel safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operate an all-terrain forklift to load, unload, and move large structural steel materials. Safely handle long, oversized, and heavy steel products in an outdoor yard environment. Load and unload flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers. Maneuver large steel materials in tight spaces while maintaining safe operating practices. Organize and move steel inventory within the yard. Inspect materials and ensure loads are properly balanced and secured. Work closely with yard personnel and truck drivers to coordinate loading and unloading activities. Perform general labour and other yard duties as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3–5 years of forklift operating experience, preferably in a steel yard, lumber yard, or heavy industrial environment. Proven experience operating all-terrain forklifts outdoors . Strong experience handling large, heavy, and oversized structural steel. Experience loading and unloading flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers. Ability to maneuver long materials safely in confined or congested yard areas. Strong awareness of load capacity, load stability, and workplace safety procedures. Physically capable of performing general labour duties in an outdoor environment. Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Outdoor yard environment in varying weather conditions. Heavy material handling and physically demanding work. Fast-paced operations requiring accuracy, safe equipment operation, and teamwork. Ideal Candidate: An experienced senior forklift operator with a strong background in heavy material handling, all-terrain forklift operation, and loading and unloading structural steel in an outdoor industrial yard. Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
