Senior Food Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) Full-Time | Regional Routes | Warehouse: Portland, ME Company: Brickyard Brands Location: Portland, ME Schedule: Approximately 40 hours/week (occasional Saturday routes needed) Pay: $24–$26/hour, based on experience About the Role We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and safety-focused Senior Food Delivery Driver to deliver food products, including temperature-sensitive items, to grocery stores and retail partners throughout Maine and the surrounding region. This position is ideal for someone with previous delivery or route experience who is comfortable managing their day independently, maintaining accurate deliveries, and building positive relationships with customers. As a senior member of our driving team, you'll also be expected to help maintain delivery standards, communicate issues proactively, and support newer drivers when needed. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles on assigned delivery routes. Load and unload products by hand, using hand trucks or pallet jacks. Maintain and document required product temperatures during transport when necessary. Verify delivery invoices, collect signatures, and document route notes. Visually inspect assigned vehicles before departure and upon return, reporting maintenance needs. Follow applicable DOT, food safety, and company delivery standards and training. Provide friendly and professional service to customers. Manage assigned routes independently and communicate delays, shortages, or delivery issues promptly. Assist with training and supporting newer drivers as needed. Report to the Warehouse/Dispatch Manager. Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. CDL not required. Prior professional delivery or route driving experience required. Experience in food distribution, wholesale delivery, or grocery delivery preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver carts/pallets. Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented. Able to work in cold environments, including freezers and walk-in coolers. Basic reading, math, and communication skills for invoice verification. Comfortable working independently and managing a regional delivery route. DOT physical may be required before starting, depending on the vehicle and applicable requirements. We can help coordinate the appointment. Benefits & Compensation $24–$26/hour , based on experience.
