Senior Facilities and Safety Manager
Crecera BrandsPosition Summary The Senior Safety & Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing safety, facility maintenance, and equipment reliability within the fulfillment center. This role partners with Operations and Human Resources to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment while minimizing equipment downtime and facility disruptions. Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Lead and maintain the facility’s safety programs and initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses and implement corrective actions. Maintain required safety records, documentation, and OSHA logs. Coordinate employee safety training and new-hire safety orientation. Oversee key programs including PPE, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, emergency response, and powered industrial truck safety. Partner with Operations and HR to promote a strong safety culture and reduce workplace injuries. Oversees day-to-day operations of Loss Prevention and Firearms Compliance. Maintenance & Facilities Oversee maintenance and repair of facility equipment, building systems, and infrastructure. Manage preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Coordinate repairs for material handling equipment, conveyors, docks, racking, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility systems. Manage outside contractors and maintenance vendors. Maintain service schedules, maintenance records, and equipment documentation. Support facility improvements, equipment installations, and other operational projects. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Serve as the primary site resource for safety and maintenance matters. Identify opportunities to improve safety, equipment reliability, and facility operations. Track key safety and maintenance metrics and communicate results to leadership. Manage safety and maintenance budgets, vendors, and supplies. Provide leadership and direction to safety and maintenance team members, as applicable. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in safety, maintenance, facilities, or operational leadership. Experience in a fulfillment center, distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and workplace safety practices. Experience with preventive maintenance and facility/equipment management. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant safety certifications preferred. Work Environment This position requires regular presence throughout the fulfillment center, including walking operational areas and working around material handling equipment. Occasional after-hours availability may be required for urgent safety or facility needs.
