Senior Fabrication Manager Location: Cocoa, FL Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary Acadian Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fabrication Manager to oversee fabrication operations supporting aerospace construction, manufacturing, and specialized project requirements. This position is responsible for managing production activities, fabrication personnel, schedules, quality standards, and shop operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering specifications and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication, welding, structural steel, production management, and workforce leadership, with a strong ability to coordinate complex fabrication operations while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and cost control. Responsibilities and Duties Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure production activities meet project specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements. Manage fabrication workflows, production priorities, labor allocation, resource planning, and equipment utilization across multiple projects. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, bills of materials, and fabrication specifications to ensure accurate execution. Coordinate cutting, fitting, welding, assembly, machining, and other fabrication processes as required. Lead, supervise, and develop fabrication supervisors, foremen, welders, fitters, fabricators, and other production personnel. Establish production goals, monitor employee performance, and maintain accountability for productivity, workmanship, and schedule adherence. Develop staffing plans and allocate resources based on project demands, production schedules, and workload requirements. Provide technical guidance and resolve fabrication challenges, production bottlenecks, and workflow issues. Ensure fabrication activities comply with approved drawings, applicable industry codes, welding procedures, inspection requirements, and customer specifications. Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel to maintain quality standards, inspection records, and material traceability requirements. Monitor workmanship and dimensional accuracy, investigate quality issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, applicable OSHA requirements, and established fabrication safety procedures. Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Quality Control, and field operations to align fabrication activities with project requirements. Monitor labor hours, material usage, production costs, and schedule performance to support project profitability and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, optimize resources, and increase overall fabrication productivity. Communicate production status, staffing needs, schedule risks, and operational concerns to senior management. Support estimating, project planning, bid reviews, and fabrication strategy development as needed.
