Senior Dispatcher

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Senior Dispatcher to join our logistics team. Responsibilities Manage transportation schedules using advanced transportation management systems to ensure on-time delivery of freight. Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to plan routes, allocate resources, and resolve logistical issues promptly. Utilize supply chain software such as SyteLine and AS400 for data entry, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records. Oversee shipping and receiving activities, verifying documentation, inspecting freight loads, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette to address inquiries from drivers, vendors, and internal departments. Analyze shipment data to identify trends, improve dispatch efficiency, and reduce delays or discrepancies. Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and incident reports with precision and attention to detail. Skills Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), SyteLine, AS400, and other supply chain software platforms. Strong understanding of freight operations within a 3PL (third-party logistics) environment. Excellent data entry skills combined with sharp analysis capabilities for optimizing dispatch processes. Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders via phone and digital channels. Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Skilled in shipping & receiving procedures with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Typing speed and accuracy to facilitate quick data entry during busy periods.
