Senior Director Supply Chain

Location: Remote — United States Employment Type: Full-Time, Remote Industry: E-Commerce / Direct-to-Consumer. This company is currently in extreme-growth mode, $200 million in revenue . About the Company and Role For a client a fast-growing, established e-commerce business operating across multiple sales channels, including direct-to-consumer and online marketplaces we are looking for a hands-on Supply Chain leader who can take full ownership of our purchasing, demand planning, inventory management, and logistics operations. If you are someone who enjoys building structure, solving complex operational challenges, and improving how things wok this may be the case for you. Someone that has worked in a high-growth e-commerce environment and had to plan everything is the right person for this role. So if, in your current or past roles, you had to know what to stock in inventory, negotiate with suppliers to get it at the right time and cost, and track complicated logistics to make sure it all happens you may be the person for this role. Often, candidates who apply have only done one part of this job. Maybe it is logistics, maybe it is inventory planning, but in this role that won’t be enough. The client is looking for someone who can connect purchasing, planning, suppliers, inventory, and fulfillment into one well-functioning operation. What You Will Be Responsible For Purchasing & Supplier Management Own purchasing activities, purchase orders, and supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers. Manage ongoing supplier communications, including international vendors. Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve issues. Demand Planning & Inventory Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales, trends, and operational data. Plan replenishment across multiple SKUs and sales channels. Maintain healthy inventory levels while minimizing stockouts, excess stock, and unnecessary carrying costs. Improve inventory accuracy, visibility, and reporting. Logistics & Fulfillment Coordinate shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Monitor inbound inventory and resolve shipping or delivery delays. Support efficient movement of products from manufacturers to warehouses and fulfillment partners. Systems & Process Improvement Maintain accurate SKU, cost, purchasing, and inventory data across systems. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Build scalable workflows, reporting tools, and processes. Use data and technology to support better purchasing and inventory decisions. People Leadership - leading a team of 3 people What We're Looking For Must Have Previous experience in a supply chain management or comparable operations role, e-commerce, Shopify, Amazon, or direct-to-consumer business. Experience across purchasing, inventory planning, supplier management, and logistics—not just one functional area. Novel use of systems and Ai to connect all the workflows is a nice-to-have.
