Position Title Senior Director, Procurement and Contracts Administration Position Number 899220 Position Category Administration School/Division Procurement Services (division) Department Office of Financial Affairs - Procurement Services Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Financial Affairs, the Senior Director of Procurement and Contracts Administration provides strategic leadership and oversight for all University procurement, sourcing, contract administration, and vendor management activities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, policies, and best practices that support the University’s operational, financial, and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies. The Senior Director leads the full lifecycle of procurement and contract administration functions, including supplier sourcing, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, leasing agreements, and acquisition of goods and services. Working collaboratively with academic and administrative departments, the Senior Director identifies opportunities to optimize costs, improve service delivery, strengthen supplier partnerships, mitigate risk, and enhance operational efficiency across the University. Provide leadership and direction for all procurement functions, including sourcing, purchasing, competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and supplier management.Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and best practices that promote operational efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and risk mitigation. Identify and implement strategic sourcing opportunities that deliver cost savings, process improvements, and enhanced service levels. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and emerging procurement practices to support continuous improvement and innovation. Direct and oversee the University’s Contract Administration Office, ensuring effective management of the contract review, approval, execution, and monitoring process. Manage the full contract lifecycle for procurement, service, technology, leasing, and other institutional agreements. Partner closely with the Office of Legal Affairs and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate review, negotiation, and compliance of standard and non-standard contractual agreements.
