This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of supply chain strategy, operations, and business planning. You will serve as the authoritative voice for the generator segment's demand signal — translating complex, multi-horizon business needs into a clear, actionable plan that aligns regions, finance, product management, fleet management, and supply pillars.
Job Description
What You'll Do
• Own the Demand Signal — Lead the creation and maintenance of an accurate, comprehensive demand plan that integrates multiple business lines including Heavy Duty New Units (HDNU), Services, and Repairs/Refurbishment into one aggregated, enterprise-aligned demand plan
• Drive Tactical & Strategic Planning — Manage demand at both the part-number level (forecasting and scheduling) and the strategic level (identifying and embedding business risk into the signal across short- and long-term planning horizons)
• Maintain ERP Accuracy — Ensure ERP systems and planning tools reflect the most current demand signal at all times; champion data integrity across all platforms
• Collaborate Across Pillars — Build and sustain strong working relationships with supply pillars across the organization; proactively surface and resolve planning issues before they impact delivery
• Serve as the Segment SME — Act as the primary escalation point and subject matter expert for demand signal questions, enabling fast, informed decision-making across the business planning process
• Improve Forecast Accuracy — Track and analyze forecast performance, identify root causes of variance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory levels and fulfillment outcomes
• Communicate with Impact — Translate complex demand planning data into clear business insights; present findings and recommendations confidently to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
🔷 What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain
• 2+ years of experience in a materials planning or scheduling function
Desired Characteristics:
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams with an inclusive, trust-based leadership style — you build connection through personal involvement, not just hierarchy
• A lean thinker who asks the right questions and isn't afraid to say "I don't know — let me find out"; intellectual curiosity is valued here
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and act decisively under competing priorities
• Experience with S&OE and S&OP disciplines and familiarity with demand planning tools such as Demantra or equivalent offline systems
• A change agent with energy, passion, and the drive to continuously improve processes and outcomes
• Ability to build high-integrity, safety-first team cultures that prioritize both results and people
• APICS Certifications (CPIM and/or CSCP) strongly preferred
Who Thrives Here
You'll excel in this role if you:
• Are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, acronym-heavy environment and ask clarifying questions without hesitation
• Enjoy connecting the dots across multiple business units and planning horizons
• Take ownership of outcomes — not just tasks — and hold yourself and your team to a high standard
• Thrive in a collaborative culture where curiosity and continuous learning are celebrated, not just tolerated
