Position Summary The Senior Cost Analyst is responsible for accurate product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variance analysis, and financial insights across the end-to-end supply chain. This role partners closely with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Commercial teams to improve cost transparency and support profitable, compliant growth in the vitamin, mineral, and supplement industry. The successful candidate combines strong cost-analysis and manufacturing-finance fundamentals with operational curiosity and the ability to translate complex data into practical actions. The role supports products manufactured internally and through contract manufacturers. Key Responsibilities Maintain and validate standard costs, including bills of material, formulas, routings, labor, overhead, freight, duties, and other landed-cost elements. Lead the annual costing and update costs for product, sourcing, packaging, site, and productivity changes. Serve as a finance business partner to Operations; analyze purchase price, usage, yield, labor, overhead, mix, volume, and manufacturing variances, translate findings into action, and drive performance improvements with operational leaders. Support the monthly inventory and cost-of-goods-sold close, including variance and reserve analyses, reconciliations, management reporting, and supporting schedules or journal entries with Accounting. Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement on supplier, commodity, minimum-order, freight, tariff, duty, and make-versus-buy analyses. Support product development and commercialization through cost estimates, target-cost and margin analysis, and post-launch validation. Transform Supply Chain reporting by improving data quality, standardizing KPIs, automating recurring reports, and building actionable dashboards for cost, yield, scrap, inventory, forecast accuracy, service, and productivity. Strengthen inventory and costing processes and controls with Accounting, Operations, and Supply Chain, including cycle counts, physical inventories, master data, cost changes, and adjustments. Support audits through clear schedules, costing methodology explanations, and documentation of assumptions and controls. Support S&OP with financial analysis of demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and scenarios; highlight risks and opportunities and align operational plans with financial expectations. Qualifications Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience Accounting, Finance, or related field. 7-9 years related experience progressive accounting and finance experience. 1-3 years related experience Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. 1-3 years related experience Experience supporting supply chain, operations, or manufacturing finance functions. 1-3 years related experience Experience in Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, or Pharmace…
