Location: Calgary, AB Department: Pacific Link Reports to: Manager, Supply Chain Management Contracting Worker Type: Contract Schedule Type: Full-time Work Setting: In-office Trans Mountain is seeking a collaborative, motivated, and values driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Contracts Specialist, Pacific Link (Contract). In this position, you will play a key role in developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies for critical project materials and equipment, while ensuring compliance with supply chain policies, governance requirements, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in strategic procurement, contract and purchase order management, supplier performance, stakeholder collaboration, and managing commercial risks related to market conditions and regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to help establish foundational supply chain processes for a major project, influence procurement outcomes, and contribute to the successful delivery of Pacific Link objectives. Key Responsibilities Supplier and Vendor Coordination Coordinate the Approved Manufacturers List (AML) and Approved Vendors List (AVL). Coordinate technical reviews of suppliers/service providers and activities of external consultants which may include Third Party legal, engineering, market intelligence, supplier management (like ISNetWorld), etc. Coordinate master data for Vendors, Contractors, and/or Suppliers, such as vendor manuals, QMS, EHS, Payment/EFT, etc. Research and Strategy Development Research and benchmark industry best practices in supplier management to identify opportunities for improvement. Document and share lessons learned and best practices related to supplier management. Contribute to the development, enhancement and/or implementation of supply chain strategies that support the overall business or project objectives. Risk Management and Compliance Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks, escalating issues as needed. Support the negotiation and execution of contracts with key suppliers, focusing on performance-related clauses, indemnification, liability/risk ownership and remedies.
