Role Description The Senior Commodity Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Frisco, TX, responsible for managing strategic sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities. This role includes evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and developing long-term supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply continuity. The Senior Commodity Manager will analyze market trends, cost drivers, and performance data to inform purchasing decisions and optimize the supply base. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, operations, and finance, to align commodity strategies with business objectives, resolve supply issues, and support new product introductions. The role also involves continuous improvement of procurement processes, risk management in the supply chain, and contribution to overall cost reduction initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Management, with the ability to assess performance, quality, and risk across multiple suppliers. Strong capabilities in Contract Negotiation and Purchasing to secure favorable terms, manage agreements, and ensure reliable supply. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret cost structures, market data, and performance metrics, supporting data-driven sourcing decisions. Experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are beneficial. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting. Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced setting, manage multiple priorities, and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
