Senior Buyer / Supply Chain Planner – International

As we continue to grow, we're seeking an onsite Senior Buyer / Supply Chain Planner to strengthen our purchasing team, with a focus on our international supply base. Position Overview This role supports planning, purchasing, and inventory control across everything we buy: raw materials such as fabrics and fills, and finished traded goods such as bedroom furniture and bedding. Much of this comes from overseas suppliers, so you will spend much of your time managing long lead times, import logistics, and supplier relationships across time zones. You will work closely with our Purchasing Manager, with a clear path to taking ownership of all international purchasing as you grow in the role. Key Responsibilities Plan and place purchase orders for raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules and customer demand Manage international orders from start to finish: supplier confirmation, production follow-up, shipment booking, customs clearance, and delivery Monitor inventory levels and open purchase orders, adjusting to prevent both stockouts and excess stock Translate sales forecasts and production plans into material requirements, accounting for lead times, minimum order quantities, container loads, and seasonality Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and track landed costs including freight, duties, and tariffs Build strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times; and identify alternate sources where needed Resolve quality, shortage, and delivery issues with suppliers and internal teams Maintain accurate item, vendor, cost, and lead time data in NetSuite Collect and maintain supplier documentation that supports our organic and sustainability certifications Prepare purchasing and inventory reports for leadership, and recommend process improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) 5+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain, including direct work with international suppliers Working knowledge of import logistics: Incoterms, ocean freight, customs, and duties Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite strongly preferred Digitally oriented, with advanced Excel skills and comfort handling large data sets Clear, professional communicator who works well across cultures and time zones Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail Experience in manufacturing, textiles, furniture, or home goods is a plus Commitment to sustainability and alignment with our values Why Join Us?
