Senior Buyer – Raw Materials & Ingredients

About Us BulkSupplements.com is a leading supplier of pure, high-quality supplement ingredients, serving hundreds of thousands of customers through our website, Amazon, Walmart. TikTok Shop, and other channels. We offer one of the widest catalogs in the industry, from amino acids and vitamins to botanicals and specialty compounds, and we're growing fast. We're looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to own sourcing for key parts of that catalog and help us scale our supply chain. The Role As Senior Buyer, you'll manage the full purchasing cycle for raw materials and packaging: finding and qualifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, placing and managing POs, and making sure the right inventory arrives on time and meets our quality standards. You'll work closely with Quality, Operations, and our e-commerce team, and you'll have real influence on margin, availability, and new product launches. What You'll Do Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials (vitamins, amino acids, botanicals, specialty ingredients) and packaging from domestic and international suppliers Source and manage packaging components, including pouches, bottles, jars, caps, scoops, labels, cartons, and shipping materials Qualify and onboard new vendors in partnership with QA, including reviewing COAs, specifications, and supplier documentation to meet cGMP (21 CFR Part 111) requirements Forecast demand and set reorder points using sales velocity across multiple sales channels to prevent both stockouts and excess inventory Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms to improve margins and reduce landed cost Manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality issues, and corrective actions Coordinate international purchases, including freight, customs, and import documentation, with logistics partners Monitor commodity pricing, tariffs, and market trends, and flag supply risks early Support new product development by sourcing new ingredients and building cost models Maintain accurate purchasing data in our ERP/inventory system Mentor junior buyers and help build out purchasing processes as we scale What We're Looking For 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, with at least 2 years in dietary supplements, food, nutraceuticals, or a similar regulated industry Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing and supplier qualification Working understanding of cGMP, COAs, and ingredient specifications Experience buying from international suppliers (Asia, Europe, and/or India) Proven negotiation skills and a track record of measurable cost savings Comfort with data: advanced Excel or Google Sheets, and experience with ERP/MRP systems Highly organized, able to manage a large SKU count and many open POs at once Clear, professional communicator with suppliers and internal teams Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Nice to Have Experience supporting e-commerce or Amazon/FBA inventory Background in import/export, tariff classification, or landed-cost analysis APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certification Mandarin or another language useful for supplier relationships Why Join Us Competitive pay Health, dental, vision, long-term disability and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays A high-impact role at a growing, profitable company, with direct influence on what we sell and how well we sell it A lean team where good ideas get implemented quickly How to Apply Click "Apply" and include your resume.
