Senior Buyer

Senior Buyer (Contract-to-Potential Hire) Pay: $35-$48/hour DOE Location: Liverpool, NY Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site Join a leading U.S.-based technology manufacturer that designs and produces advanced wireless communications solutions supporting 4G and 5G connectivity. Their innovative technologies help power wireless networks for mobile carriers, stadiums, universities, healthcare systems, transportation hubs, and government organizations. We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support supply chain operations and procurement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and contracts, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring on-time material delivery to support production requirements. Responsibilities Review MRP requirements and manage purchasing activities Create and manage purchase orders in SAP Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships Analyze inventory levels and optimize stocking strategies Monitor material shortages and proactively resolve supply issues Review engineering drawings and support new product introductions Partner with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and lead-time data in SAP Support supplier performance reviews and scorecard management Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce supply chain risk Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, or Technical field) 5+ years of purchasing/buying experience within a manufacturing environment Strong ERP/MRP experience; SAP preferred Experience with supplier negotiations, contracts, and cost analysis Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
