About the Company Our client is a growing, established contract manufacturer serving leading brands across the beauty, personal care, skincare, haircare, fragrance, and OTC categories. With deep expertise spanning product development, formulation, raw-material sourcing, manufacturing, and filling, the organization partners with both established and emerging brands to bring innovative products from concept through commercialization. About the Role The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier partnerships, and overseeing purchasing activities that support manufacturing operations. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, control costs, and maintain an efficient supply chain in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, and production-related items to support manufacturing demands. Oversee the full purchasing lifecycle, including order placement, follow-up, issue resolution, and supplier communication. Build strategic relationships with vendors to improve service, pricing, quality, and overall performance. Negotiate commercial terms and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining supply continuity. Work with Operations, Planning, Quality, Product Development, and Customer-facing teams to support business objectives. Monitor inventory levels and material consumption trends to help prevent shortages and excess stock. Evaluate supplier performance, manage sourcing projects, and identify new vendor opportunities. Analyze purchasing metrics, spend data, and market conditions to support informed decision-making. Develop recommendations to improve procurement efficiency, reporting, and supply chain performance. Support company initiatives focused on operational excellence and process optimization. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience as a buyer. Solid knowledge of sourcing, inventory planning, and procurement best practices. Proven success building supplier partnerships and negotiating pricing, lead times, and service agreements. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions. Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and management of large datasets. Experience utilizing ERP and/or MRP systems to support purchasing operations. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and cross-functional relationship-building skills. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred.
