Explore the BDC Way in our Culture Book POSITION OVERVIEW The Senior Business Advisor, Operations, delivers both standard and customized consulting projects within the Operations department. This position focuses on providing professional, high-impact solutions that help entrepreneurs improve their performance and grow their business. CHALLENGES TO BE MET Project execution Lead and carry out standard and tailor-made consulting mandates. Deliver effective solutions in areas such as: Operational Assessments Optimization of plant layout Business Process Optimization Ensure high-quality results for clients, driving their business growth. Project Management Manage project scope, budget, timelines and objectives. Perform quality assurance checks on the work and project deliverables. Apply best practices in project management to ensure successful delivery. Subject matter expertise Act as a recognized expert in operational efficiency. Stay up-to-date on market trends, emerging technologies, and operational best practices. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of consulting solutions and tools. Business Development and Sales Support Support sales activities by: conducting client needs assessments Contributing to the development of tailor-made proposals Work closely with client partners to transfer knowledge, complete projects and identify new business opportunities. Participate in outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the services offered by the firm. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Education Bachelor's degree in: Business Administration Industrial Engineering Operations Management Or in a related field An MBA or relevant professional designation is considered an asset. Experience At least 10 years of consulting experience, ideally with a consulting firm. Solid experience in the following areas: Operational efficiency Optimization of operations Lean Methodologies Six Sigma Practices Technical knowledge Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: Supply Chain Management Operations, Digitalization & AI Robotics and Automation ERP, MES, MWS, and other operations management systems Skills and Abilities Deep expertise in operational excellence and business transformation. Ability to develop pragmatic and results-oriented solutions for SMEs. Strong strategic coaching and advisory capabilities. Proven experience in managing and carrying out consulting mandates. Excellent project management skills. Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. High emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit. Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering measurable value Additional Requirements Professional bilingualism in French and English (oral and written). Availability to travel within the region.
