Position Summary... The (USA) Senior Analyst, Sourcing plays a critical role in supporting sourcing activities through data-driven analysis, supplier management, and cost negotiation. This position involves developing market and product knowledge to formulate effective sourcing proposals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives. The role requires maintaining supplier performance data, supporting operational processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. About the Team Our Sourcing organization collaborates with Merchandising, Product Development, and global suppliers to deliver competitive assortments for Walmart customers. The team develops and executes sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, negotiates costs, and drives category innovation. Working cross-functionally, members influence business strategy, identify sourcing opportunities, and ensure quality and value. Emphasizing collaboration, analytical thinking, and results-driven approaches, the team supports Walmart's commitment to providing exceptional products and experiences while maintaining strong supplier performance and continuous improvement. What you'll do... This position supports sourcing activities across multiple product categories, including Baby and Personal Care & Beauty. What You'll Do... Support sourcing activities aligned with the supplier matrix and contribute to cost negotiations based on component pricing insights. Develop product, market, and industry knowledge to inform sourcing proposals and project execution. Coordinate and support buying trips, including itinerary setup, cost negotiation, and finalization to achieve trip objectives. Ensure timely completion of supplier quotations and samples to facilitate decision-making. Maintain and update supplier performance data and contribute to business reports for sourcing management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and support daily supply operations, including partnership with quality engineering teams on supplier-related quality concerns. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to support sourcing plans and continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Bring... Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management within complex supply chains. Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage price and contract discussions effectively. Proficiency in data analysis to support sourcing proposals and informed decision-making. Strong financial analysis skills to evaluate costs, sourcing opportunities, and supplier performance. Ability to develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and business process improvements. Excellent communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
