ge, strong customer service skills, and a thorough understanding of international shipping and customs requirements. While this is not initially a formal supervisory position, the individual will serve as a knowledgeable resource for the team and provide operational support to department management as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily air import activities while communicating with customers, customs brokers, third-party service providers, and internal departments.
• Research shipment issues, investigate discrepancies, and implement appropriate resolutions to minimize operational delays.
• Compile and evaluate departmental information to identify trends and support operational performance objectives.
• Provide guidance to team members on established procedures, industry terminology, and best practices for handling import shipments.
• Prepare freight invoices and billing documentation, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments within established credit terms.
• Maintain compliance with internal operating standards, applicable customs requirements, and relevant government regulations.
• Assess existing processes and recommend improvements that promote accuracy, efficiency, and consistent service quality.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and document service exceptions, including missed milestones and delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to meet productivity goals and maintain high service standards.
