About the Opportunity: The SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, INVENTORY role is responsible for managing inventory-related accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and audit support within a control-focused environment. The role contributes by improving accounting processes, strengthening documentation, and partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity. Responsibilities: Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for inventory accounts. Create journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules. Analyze inventory activity to identify trends, discrepancies, and process issues. Research and resolve differences between operational records, subledger, and general ledger balances. Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation for accounting conclusions and reconciliations. Prepare and maintain complex reconciliations for inventory and related balance sheet accounts. Investigate reconciling items and perform root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams. Execute SOX controls and maintain evidence for control performance and review readiness. Support improvements in reconciliation quality, documentation, and close consistency. Assist internal and external audit requests with schedules, support, and explanations. Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, FP&A, Internal Audit, and other teams to resolve issues. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflows and documentation. Communicate risks, questions, and solutions clearly and promptly to management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and documentation standards. Experience reconciling operational or financial data across multiple systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with capability to analyze large data sets. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and documentation. Preferred qualifications include CPA or CPA candidate status, experience in public company or complex environments, inventory or cost accounting expertise, and experience in control-focused or transformational settings. Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
