Senior Accountant

Job Overview You will own day-to-day accounting across both entities: payables, receivables, cash, payroll and month-end reconciliations. You will work directly with our Controller and are expected to grow into taking over parts of the monthly close over your first year. What you will do Process AP for Melii Canada and Melii Ireland, including verifying 3PL and logistics invoices, vendor setup, vendor statement reconciliations and vendor inquiries. Manage AR and cash: post receipts, deposits and customer card payments; handle all receivable postings, credit memos and chargebacks; send statements and follow up on collections. Run bi-weekly payroll in ADP, set up new employees, and prepare year-end T4 and RL-1 slips. Prepare month-end reconciliations for review: including multiple bank, credit cards, prepaids, AP and AR subledgers to GL, and Shopify. Post intercompany, inventory transfer and receiving transactions in Business Central, and update exchange rates. Prepare GST/QST and commission reporting for Controller review. Write and maintain SOPs for the tasks you own. What you bring CPA, or well advanced in the CPA program. 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting, ideally in consumer products, distribution or ecommerce. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience strongly preferred. Canadian payroll (ADP preferred) and GST/HST/QST experience. Multi-entity and multi-currency experience; exposure to EU VAT is an asset. Strong Excel; Power BI is an asset. Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits: Work from home Work Location: Remote
