We’re looking for experienced logistics professionals who know how to develop business, build lasting customer relationships, and grow profitable accounts, without being buried in the day-to-day operational grind. This is not a traditional cradle-to-grave brokerage role. As a Senior Account Manager, your primary focus is sales, customer strategy, and growing your book of business. Our Carrier Operations Team handles daily carrier procurement and shipment execution, giving you more time to prospect, develop relationships, and generate revenue. And as your book grows, your support grows with it. Once your book of business reaches the appropriate scale, we build a dedicated operations team around you and your customers. Instead of your success creating more administrative work for you, it creates more infrastructure behind you. The goal is simple: you grow the business; we give you the operational support and resources to keep growing it. What You'll Do: Develop New Business Prospect and develop new customer relationships through outbound sales, referrals, networking, and industry relationships. Build and execute strategic sales plans. Identify transportation opportunities that align with your expertise and our capabilities. Negotiate customer pricing and service agreements. Build a healthy, sustainable pipeline of new opportunities. Nurture Your Customer Relationships You remain the primary relationship owner for your accounts. Develop long-term relationships with key customer contacts. Understand each customer's transportation network, challenges, and priorities. Conduct regular business reviews and strategic account discussions. Identify opportunities to expand services. Serve as a trusted transportation resource for your customers. Grow Your Book Your success isn't limited by how many shipments you can personally cover. Grow revenue and margin within existing accounts. Identify cross-selling and expansion opportunities. Develop larger, more strategic customer relationships. Maintain pricing strategies that support sustainable profitability. Partner with leadership on opportunities for significant account growth. Maintain proactive communication on customer priorities. Partner with Operations to resolve service challenges. Escalate critical issues when necessary. Help develop solutions for complex transportation needs. Manage Your Pipeline Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records. Document sales activity. Manage a healthy sales pipeline.
