Semi Truck Driver Recruiter (Company Drivers & Owner Operators)

Job Overview We are seeking an aggressive and experienced Freight Driver Recruiter to source, attract, and onboard qualified Company Drivers and Owner Operators (USA/Canada cross-border & regional lanes). The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of trucking compliance, carrier-driver relations, and proven strategies to keep our fleet fully manned with reliable drivers. Responsibilities Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively source, screen, and recruit qualified Company Drivers (Class 1 / AZ) and Owner Operators through job boards, social media, network referrals, and cold calling. Pipeline Management: Maintain a continuous pipeline of driver applicants to meet fleet growth targets. Screening & Vetting: Review applications, CDL/AZ licenses, MVRs, PSP reports, and work history to ensure alignment with company standards and DOT/FMCSA safety requirements. Onboarding & Orientation: Coordinate pre-employment requirements (including drug testing - CCF, background checks) and schedule drivers for orientation. Negotiation & Retention: Present competitive pay packages, route options, and sign-on incentives to candidates; maintain ongoing relationships with drivers to improve retention. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on driver recruiting experience in the North American trucking industry (GTA / Ontario market experience preferred). Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of FMCSA / DOT regulations, MVR/PSP checks, and CDL/AZ licensing requirements. Specialization: Proven track record recruiting BOTH Company Drivers and Owner Operators . Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages such as Punjabi or Russian are a plus). Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media recruitment tools, and MS Office / Google Workspace.
