You’ll be responsible for operating tractor-trailers, managing logistics cargo handling, and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and route driving will keep our operations running smoothly, providing essential goods to various destinations nationwide. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks, across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques or forklift assistance when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling standards during all operations. Manage delivery driving tasks by inspecting vehicles before trips, performing routine maintenance checks, and reporting any issues promptly. Handle logistics cargo handling accurately, including documentation and load securement for safe transportation of dangerous goods or specialized freight like refrigerated or tanker loads. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on over-the-road (OTR) routes and delivery driving. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker). Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading. Experience operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks. Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and perform manual handling tasks safely. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures including freight management for refrigerated trailers or hazardous goods.
