SEMI TRUCK DRIVER LOCAL AND OTR

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Semi Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating large tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to ensure timely delivery of freight. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle diverse cargo will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service. Duties Safely operate semi-trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, across assigned routes with precision and professionalism Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement according to logistics cargo handling standards Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines Deliver freight to various destinations while maintaining compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, checking for mechanical issues or safety concerns Maintain accurate records of driving hours, delivery logs, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during trips Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with semi-trucks or tractor-trailers Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type (manual transmission experience preferred) Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation is a plus Ability to manually handle cargo safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning on OTR routes Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT standards Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks associated with truck loading/unloading and cargo securing Flexibility to work long hours on the road across diverse routes while maintaining a positive attitude Join our team as a Semi Truck Driver if you’re passionate about professional driving, safety compliance, and delivering excellence on every route.
