Semi-Truck Diesel Mechanic - Roadside

Benefits: Free uniforms About the Role: GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Semi-Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our roadside team in Syracuse, NY. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll be the hero that keeps commercial trucks rolling — out in the field, solving real problems in real time. Responsibilities: Perform roadside diagnosis and repair of semi-trucks/trailers and commercial diesel vehicles Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, electrical, and suspension systems on-site Conduct preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections Respond to emergency roadside service calls in a timely and professional manner Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical issues Maintain accurate service records and document all repairs performed Ensure all work meets DOT compliance and safety standards Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic with semi-trucks or heavy-duty vehicles Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, etc.) Experience with roadside or mobile repair is a strong plus Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred Own tools preferred (but not required); familiarity with diagnostic software and equipment Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle high-pressure situations Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, professional demeanor About Us: GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is a trusted name in commercial truck repair serving the Syracuse, NY area and surrounding regions.
