Join Professional Towing & Recovery LLC , where we pride ourselves on providing safe, efficient, and professional service. We are seeking experienced Self-Loader / Wheel-Lift Tow Truck Operators for our Tempe location. Prior towing and wheel-lift/self-loader experience is required. This position performs a combination of traditional towing, roadside assistance, vehicle relocations, and Private Property Impounds (PPI). Self-loader operators must be highly skilled at maneuvering in tight parking lots, apartment communities, parking garages, commercial properties, and other confined areas. Drivers must be able to safely position and operate their equipment around parked vehicles, walls, curbs, structures, and other obstacles. Damage-free operation is essential. Operators must have excellent spatial awareness, understand proper vehicle securement and towing procedures, and recognize situations where additional precautions or equipment are necessary. Professional Towing & Recovery operates 24/7/365 . This is a full-time position with immediate openings— for all shifts. Open availability, including weekends, is required Key Responsibilities Safely operate a self-loader/wheel-lift tow truck Perform Private Property Impounds (PPI) and vehicle relocations Assist with traditional towing and roadside service calls as assigned Safely hook, secure, tow, and transport a variety of vehicles Maneuver in tight and confined areas , including parking garages, apartment complexes, and crowded parking lots Prevent damage to towed vehicles, surrounding vehicles, equipment, and property Take required photographs and accurately document vehicle condition and location Provide roadside services, including tire changes, lockouts, fuel delivery, and jumpstarts Communicate professionally with customers, property representatives, law enforcement, dispatch, and team members Complete service records, receipts, photographs, and required paperwork accurately Perform required truck inspections and promptly report mechanical or safety concerns Maintain a clean truck and professional appearance Follow company policies, traffic laws, towing procedures, and safety requirements at all times Qualifications ***Must have prior Wheel-Lift/Self-Loader experience**** 3+ years experience preferred PPI/private property towing experience strongly preferred Verifiable professional towing references Must be 23 years of age or older Valid Arizona Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record Strong backing, maneuvering, and spatial-awareness skills Comfortable operating in tight and congested environments Knowledge of proper vehicle securement and damage-prevention practices Comfortable operating automatic and manual transmission vehicles Experience with roadside services such as jumpstarts, lockouts, and tire changes Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain professional during challenging customer interactions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, kneel, stand, and work outdoors Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass required drug testing, MVR screening, criminal background check, and DOT physical Flatbed and wrecker experience is a plus, but this position is specifically for an experienced Self-Loader / Wheel-Lift Operator.
