As an Unarmed Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders. Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, offices, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures. Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and activity documentation; maintain awareness of restricted areas and support compliance with site access requirements. Minimum Requirements: Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
