As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and support a professional environment. You will help to deter incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and responsive customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor appointments, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures. Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and vehicle traffic to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required. Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and distribution operations areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. CPR and First Aid experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
