As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor alarm and access control systems, and provide outstanding customer service. You will maintain a professional, visible presence that helps deter incidents while communicating clearly with customers and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to retail location visitors, customers, and personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Monitor and control access at designated entrances, verifying credentials, directing authorized individuals, and documenting visitor and contractor activity. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entrances, receiving areas, and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns. Maintain accurate logs and reports for access activity, incidents, deliveries, and other security-related observations. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience using alarm panels is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
