Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Route Driver in Irving, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and collections. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibits, public areas, staff spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment for guests and personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations in accordance with site procedures. Support the protection of artwork, collections, exhibits, and facility property by observing site rules, reporting concerns, and following Allied Universal and client protocols. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
