Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol Dispatch Support in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a leading educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM Tue 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM Wed 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM Fri 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify unusual activity and report observations. Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas; assist with access control, visitor direction, and campus event support as assigned. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus personnel. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
