Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control Authorization Specialist in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will help manage access points, verify authorized entry, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Tue 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Wed 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Thur 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas. Monitor loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, and perimeter access points for unauthorized activity, and report observations according to site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: At least two years of security-related experience is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
