Security Dispatcher-Surveillance Operator

SECURITY DISPATCHER / SURVEILLANCE OPERATOR Location: Chicago, IL Schedule: Thursdays – Sundays Hours: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM Position: Evening/Overnight Position Overview ALPHA7 Protective Services LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Security Dispatcher / Surveillance Operator to assist with daily security operations, monitor CCTV surveillance systems and mobile patrol vehicle cameras, handle employee call-offs, and coordinate shift coverage. Important: If an employee calls off and replacement coverage cannot be secured, the Dispatcher will be responsible for filling the open security shift, provided they are qualified and authorized for the assignment. Job Responsibilities Monitor live CCTV security cameras . Monitor cameras installed inside ALPHA7 mobile patrol vehicles to oversee patrol activity and identify potential security concerns. Observe surveillance footage for suspicious activity, emergencies, safety concerns, or unusual incidents. Immediately report security incidents or suspicious activity to supervisors and management. Respond promptly to employee call-offs and staffing emergencies. Contact available security officers to arrange immediate shift coverage. Personally cover open security shifts when replacement coverage cannot be found. Maintain and update employee schedules and communicate changes. Monitor security officer attendance, clock-ins, and clock-outs. Communicate with mobile patrol officers, supervisors, and management throughout the shift. Maintain accurate dispatch logs, surveillance activity records, and incident reports. Respond professionally to client and employee calls. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in security, dispatching, surveillance monitoring, or scheduling preferred. Familiarity with CCTV camera systems and security monitoring equipment is a plus. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to monitor multiple camera feeds while handling dispatch responsibilities. Must remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout the shift. Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable handling last-minute staffing emergencies. Must be willing and qualified to work security posts when emergency coverage is needed. Must possess required security credentials for assigned field duties. Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling software preferred. Reliable transportation required.
