Security Dispatcher

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Public Safety Security Dispatcher dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls for Choctaw Nation Security and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Pay rate: $18.34 per hour/ Full Time. You will be on call 1 week of each month after completion of new hire training Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position Primary Tasks: Using a computer-aided dispatch system, receives and logs calls for service, determines priorities, and dispatches necessary Security or on-site EMS units in accordance with established procedures. Maintains contact with all units on duty; maintains status and location of Security and EMS units. Assists the Dispatch Supervisor in training, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the activities of trainees. Answers non-emergency calls for assistance. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Currently possess or can obtain and maintain dispatch certification as required Must be at least 18 years of age. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimum direction and communicate with groups and or individuals quickly and effectively both orally and in writing. Must have knowledge of and ability to work with appropriate hardware and software. Previous dispatch experience preferred but not required
