Security Dispatcher/CSR (Commercial Security Monitoring)

Sonitrol of Greater Richmond is looking for Full-Time candidates for our Security Dispatcher/CSR roles for the DAY shift and the NIGHT shift availability. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals with excellent communication skills to monitor security and fire systems, verify incoming alarms, and coordinate emergency response. We have positions for one Day Shift operator and two Night Shift operators for 12-hour shifts at our 24/7 monitoring station located in Henrico, VA. Training may require availability to accommodate real-time practice with alerts and data requests during business hours and may have differing hours than intended shift schedule. Our Central Station here at Sonitrol of Greater Richmond is a 24/7 monitoring location for Fire, Burglary and Access monitoring for over 400 commercial business clients across the Commonwealth of Virginia and properties within the Greater Richmond region. Responsibilities: Monitor for fire, burglary, and access alerts for businesses and other customers Answering phone/email inquiries with professionalism Contacting customers via phone and/or email regarding alerts and inquiries Dispatching local police and fire departments for emergency alarms for customers across Virginia Accurately log all incidents and notate within monitoring software Data entry and auditing programming requests 12hr shifts, 3-4 days a week depending on the rotation (Example: Wed-Sat one week, Thurs-Sat the next || [ every other Wednesday + every Thurs-Sat]) Qualifications: - Strong analytical skills to analyze data/alerts and make informed decisions - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to type accurately and efficiently (Average 30+ WPM) - Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Microsoft Office familiarity - Computer Proficiency - Comfortable with inbound/outbound phone calls - Previous experience in security monitoring, dispatching, administrative or data entry preferred, but not required - Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
