The Security Dispatcher serves as the primary communication hub for facility safety, monitoring alarm systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) feeds, and access control platforms. This role coordinates emergency responses, dispatches security personnel, and maintains accurate logs of all daily operational and emergency events. Key Responsibilities System Monitoring: Monitor multi-site CCTV feeds, fire/life safety systems, intrusion detection sensors, and access control panels. Emergency Dispatch: Acknowledge and dispatch security officers or emergency responders during alarms, medical crises, or security breaches. Communication Management: Facilitate two-way radio and phone communications between field officers, management, and local law enforcement agencies. Incident Logging: Document all security incidents, visitor logs, and operational activities accurately in the digital incident management system. Alert Broadcasting: Operate mass notification systems to relay emergency instructions, lockdowns, or safety updates to personnel. Qualifications & Skills Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a security dispatch center, emergency operations center, or central monitoring station is prefered. Technical Skills: Proficiency with security software (e.g., CAD programs, CCTV monitoring, Lenel, Genetec, or Avigilon systems). Soft Skills: Exceptional multitasking ability, calm demeanor under pressure, and clear verbal communication.
