Behind Every Order Is a Horse Owner Counting on Us

drops. A rider is counting on new show gear before the weekend. A family is wrapping a gift for the horse lover in their life. This season, you can be the person who makes sure those orders get there right, and on time.
Who We Are
Schneider Saddlery has been outfitting horses and the people who love them since 1948. We're a third-generation family business based right here in Chagrin Falls, and we ship tack, blankets, and barn supplies to riders and horse owners across the country, including our own StormShield® blankets.
We've always put the horse first. That shows up in how we design our products, how we answer the phone, and how we pack every box that leaves our building. Made by horse lovers, for horse lovers.
You Don't Need to Be a Horse Person
You don't need to know a girth from a halter to do great work here. We'll teach you what you need to know about our products, and we provide paid, hands-on training on our scanners and systems. What we can't teach is caring about the work. That's what we're hiring for.
Who Thrives Here
We're looking for people who:
• Take pride in getting it right. Right item, right size, right color, packed so it arrives in great shape.
• Like to keep moving. You enjoy a steady pace, set goals for your shift, and feel good when you hit them.
• Think about the person on the other end. Behind every order is a rider, a horse, and often a deadline: a show, a cold snap, or a gift under the tree.
• Show up for the team. You're dependable, on time, and quick to jump in wherever the work is heaviest.
• Want their work to matter. Even in a seasonal role, you want to be part of something you can be proud of.
What You'll Do
Our seasonal associates primarily support Outbound operations, making sure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time during the busiest weeks of our year.
Responsibilities include:
• Order Picking: Use handheld scanners and our warehouse management system to locate and pick products accurately.
• Packing & Shipping: Pack orders with care, verify every item, and prepare packages so they arrive the way you'd want to receive them.
• Order Accuracy: Double-check quantities, sizes, and condition. The wrong blanket size means a horse goes without while a rider waits on an exchange.
• Productivity: Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals. We measure both, because speed and care matter equally to the people we serve.
• Team Support: Help teammates and move between picking, packing, and other warehouse tasks as the day's volume calls for.
• Warehouse Organization: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Technology & Process: Follow scanner prompts and established procedures, and speak up when you see a better way.
Additional opportunities in Inbound receiving, inventory handling, and replenishment may be available based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
What You'll Need
• Dependable attendance and punctuality. Your team plans around you.
• Comfort using handheld scanners, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to keep a productive pace in a busy warehouse, working on your own and alongside a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability to work an agreed-upon seasonal schedule.
Previous warehouse, retail fulfillment, or shipping experience is helpful but not required. Horse experience is a bonus, never a requirement.
