Seasonal truck driver for Field Crops
ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Seasonal Truck Driver for Field Crops to support our agricultural operations. This role involves transporting crops and equipment safely and efficiently across various locations during peak harvest periods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and timely deliveries. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment with a focus on agricultural productivity. Duties Operate commercial truck to transport field crops between farms, storage facilities, and processing centers. Load and unload Truck Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation. Assist with the operation of heavy machinery and agricultural equipment as needed. Conduct safety checks before trips, including verifying load securement and vehicle condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and cargo details. Support the movement of freight efficiently while adhering to transportation regulations and safety standards. Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating freight trucks and heavy equipment or other agricultural machinery. Knowledge of automotive repair basics is preferred. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in outdoor farm environments. Prior experience in agricultural or field crop transportation is a plus. Strong attention to safety protocols and compliance with transportation regulations. Ability to work in varying weather conditions during the harvest season. Physical capability to lift, load, or unload freight weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours during peak seasons.
