Seasonal Shipping & Receiving

We are seeking Seasonal associates (Core hours: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm) What that means: We are starting to hire Seasonal employees that are willing to work in our shipping & receiving department. This positions is NOT full-time. Our busy season starts in Sept./October and goes through March/April of the following year. Roles & Responsibilities: · Fill pick-up orders; select product and pack according to the order, accurately count product. Safely transport product to the pick-up area. · Fill mail orders; correctly read and fulfill customer orders. Verify customer orders and select a box that corresponds to the size & makeup of the order. · Correctly match the product code on orders to that on the product. · Utilize all necessary packing materials to ensure a damage-free arrival of all orders. · Scan shipment orders to external shipment programs. Properly label orders with the corresponding shipping label. · Assist with incoming deliveries. Inspect deliveries for evidence of damage. Inventory incoming deliveries. · Transport product between Seroogy’s locations by vehicle. Transport product by hand, push cart, or pallet jack. · Adhere to all forklift safety trainings while operating the Company forklift to perform work duties if certified. · Empty and stack pallets. · Clean the shipping area; sweep the floor, wipe down counters, and perform any other necessary cleaning duties that pertain to the shipping department. · Refill boxes of product for the next day’s fulfillment. Transport refills to the shipping department by hand or push cart. Refill the freezer with ice packs. · Work in the production department and complete all production-related work duties according to the dictates of business, production, & shipping demands. · Training seasonal workers. · Substitute as the lead employee in the shipping department in the Shipping Supervisor’s absence. Job Essentials: · Ability to lift up to 50lbs. · Ability to bend, kneel, or stoop to retrieve and stock product on all shelf levels. · Physical strength & gross motor skills to safely operate pallet jack while transporting up to one ton of product, including pushing and pulling. · Visual & cognitive ability to accurately read orders and count product. · Fine motor skills to type and utilize all relevant Company computer programs. · Ability to be on one’s feet for up to eight hours per day. · Learning ability & memory retention to maintain a thorough knowledge of all Company policies & procedures. · Verbal, phone, and written communication skills to effectively interface with other departments while satisfying customer needs. · Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality service. · Emotional maturity and resilience to deal with various situations and customers. · Hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and adhere to all applicable laws while traveling for the Company. Experience: Shipping & receiving: 1 year (Required) Computer literacy: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
