As a Seasonal Associate, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting sales initiatives during our busy season. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on products, including conducting product demos when applicable. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and ensuring secure cash management practices. Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product placement to enhance the shopping experience. Support upselling efforts by recommending additional products and promoting current promotions to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or providing support remotely. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service. Engage in retail math tasks such as calculating discounts, totals, and change with accuracy. Participate in inventory management activities including stock replenishment and inventory counts. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management. Promote store knowledge by staying informed about product features, benefits, and current promotions. Support merchandising standards to ensure the store remains inviting and well-organized throughout the season. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred; grocery store or retail environment experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership responsibilities during shifts. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly. Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies preferred. Knowledge of retail store product details across various categories enhances customer assistance capabilities. Prior experience in grocery stores or similar environments supports quick adaptation to store routines.
